
The activity that I am going to reflect on is when we practiced the mile. At first, we ran around the Joffrey's track four times which is like a mile. Then, as the weather got cooler, we began to run once around the school which is a mile. My first time that I ran the mile around the school, I got seven minutes and fourteen seconds. It was better then my time last year. But soon the Cross Country was coming and we didn't do the mile as often but we had to practice at home and I noticed that I improved. We only practiced the mile when it was cool. After the Cross Country, we did it two more times but around Joffreys.
The purpose of this activity was so that we could become better runners because if you're not very good at running, then you'll fall behind and you won't be fit enough. This activiity was also so that we could decide who would go to the races in the Aramcos. This activity also helped us want to practice our running more.
I learned to pace myself more and then finish really strong because this year, I started at a normal pace and then I shot forward at the end. I also learned more about the other people and how they run because I went to the races and noticed that the people who ran, were more use to running in grass and up hills which is harder then road running.
I think that I should have paced myself better on some of the mile runs that we did because my time increased. I also should have practiced more because I only ran o.75 of a mile on average but I still did good. I think that I really should have done was stretched because I was really sore after running.
This does not relate to my goals which are to become better at reading comprehension and to say at least one thing everyday in every class.
