Quarter Four

The activity that I am going to reflect on is when we had our drug campaign project. We got in groups or we worked by ourselves and then we had to choose anyway that we wanted to stop people from taking drugs. It had to be an effective way though. I decided to do this project by myself and it was a website called www.donttryitthefirsttime.com. After we completed the project, we presented to the class who graded our project after we presented.

The purpose of this activity was so that we could learn hot to try to get out the message, "don't do drugs" without just saying it. It was also so that we could learn about different types of drugs because a few groups talked about the different drugs in their projects. This project also helped us learn different advertising techniques like pictures and reverse psychology. Some of the best projects did goo jobs of making the message clear.

What I learned from this project is that there are many website makers out there but it takes a while to find a good one because it took me half the time to find a good one. Something else I learned was that you should really edit something because there were two videos but one of them looked more finished. Also, I learned more about a drug called Methamphetamine because I decided to research a little bit about it to make my website look much more complete.

I think that there are a few things that I should have changed. First of all, I think that I should have planned my magazine out better so that it had a lot more information and looked fuller. I think that another important thing that I could have done was I should have found different pictures but of the same things because some of the pictures on my site did not show up for some reason. One of the pictures was a consequence of taking Meth. If it had shown, it would have helped get the message out better. I really should have practiced more for the presentation because it was really "empty". I think that next time, I will do a movie because it's easier to get everything on all right.

This doesn't relate to my goal to become better at answering reading comprehension questions but it does relate to my other goal. My other goal is to say at least one thing in every class everyday and I completed that goal with my presentation because it was the last class of the day.
