Hola or hello. The activity that I am going to tell you about is the cooking project that we did. We each chose a Espanol recipe. After we chose a dish, we found out the Ficha de Cocina or recipe on how to make it. To make our project look more professional, we made up a Espanol name for a made up restaurant and pretended that we were the owners. Of course we put it all into a little pamphlet with a picture of us and our dish. I decided to make paella which is Espana or Spain dish.
The purpose of this activity was mostly so that we could learn about different Espanol foods and also so that we could learn about different items like vegetables and different snack foods like uvas are grapes. Before we did this project we cooked tacos in class a practice for when we cook the best recipe at the end of the year.
I learned how to say the different vegetables which we learned before we did this project. Like naranja is orange. I also learned how to make paella and tacos because we had made tacos before and I tried to make paella at home. Before, I use to think that recipes from all over the world were made differently but the only difference is the language.
I don't think that there is much that I could have done differently except that I did not know that the picture of myself was supposed to be on the outside. I think that I could have made it look better by adding a little more color and putting it on better paper. I should have also planned it out better because I had to cut all of the words so that they would fit.
This does not relate to my goals which are to become better at reading comprehension and to say at least one thing in every class everyday.
