Quarter Two

The activity was to make a passport about the book that we were reading which is "Marco Polo" by Vargie Johnson. It wasn't exactly a passport but a booklet about the major events in Marco's life according to the book. We had to make a cover with a seal and pictures with captions. Ou passport had to include six important scenes but one had to be from the last chapter when Marco returns to Venice. It was fun because I got to use glitter glue to make my seal and draw pictures.

The purpose of this activity was so that we could remember some of the important events in the futuere if we ever wanted to remember. It was also that we could practice organizing a booklet like this and so that if we ever became someone at the airport, it would help to know how a passport works or if we wanted to become a teacher of some sort. Also, since this is about Marco Polo's life, this would help us remember about some of the things he did in his life if we never really knew.

I learned more about the life of Marco Polo because we read a book about him. I also learned that you should only start when your teacher tells you to start because I began a head of time so I had to redo because Mrs.Dodd told us something else. Something else I learned is that you should take your time because I rushed on the cover so I had to make glue a new one over but I didn't glue wasn't straight.

I could have changed my drawings so that they were a little neater and better looking. I also should have colored neater because at the end, it looked really messy. My captions could have been better because they were short and I didn't put all of the words in the same area. My cover was crinkled because I had to redo the cover but I should have gone a lot slower.

This doesn't relate to my goals because one is to improve my reading comprehension skills and the other is to say at least one thing every class.
