The activity was to make a webpage using Microsoft FrontPage. We needed to add a title from flaming text.com and any background we wanted. Our webpage also had to include a small paragraph about ourselves, five website links, and five pictures in slideshow form. After we put everything together, we had to add a piece of music but most people had MP3 format songs. But FrontPage only takes Wav, so we had to put it in our music folder and then convert it using Windows Media Player.
The purpose of this activity was for us to learn more about FrontPage and how to make a small webpage without having to make our own account. If all you want to do is make a single webpage and you don’t want to give out personal information to a website, then this would be a good idea because I think it’s easier this way. In most other sites you make postings but here you make a single page with links and everything.
I learned how to make a simple webpage on a different program then blogger. I also learned how to convert music properly because my song was in the wrong format at first. Basically, I learned how to make a basic webpage and how to add in those extra components that make it seem complicated like music, pictures and web links.
I should have changed my title type because it was kind of messed up with bits of it everywhere. I should have also gotten better web links but the problem was is that when I opened it up, there was nothing there but what I didn’t realise is that it did save but by the time I found out, we were running out of time. I should have also chosen a nicer background so that it would look nicer but more importantly, I should have gotten better pictures of myself because some of them were bad.
This doesn’t really relate to my goals because one is to improve my reading comprehension and the other is to say at least one thing in class and I didn’t do either.
