Quarter Two

The activity was to research about the life of Ibn Batuta who was a famous Arab scholar and general practitioner. We would first research about him with a partner and then make a small presentation about him. I was with Laetitia and we did a presentation together. It was kind of a fun project because there was this cool site about Ibn Batuta.
The purpose of this activity was to learn about the history of Arabic. It was also so that we could learn more about people who affect history and what they do because we did more biographies other than this one. Another reason for this was so that we could also practice our presentation skills because we did a presentation after we researched.
I learned more about the history of Arabic because while I was researching, I found sites more about the general history. I also learned about the actual person, Ibn Batuta. I also learned more about how to present a biography on a historical person with a partner because I usually do presentations by myself or in groups for big presentations.
I would have changed my information a little because I only got info from one site and Laetia did to so if we would have had more sites, we probably would have had more information that was different from everyone else. I should have also practised with Laetitia before we did our presentation because we had to look at the paper a lot but other than that it went okay.
This does relate to my goal because my social goal is to say at least one thing in every class and doing that presentation was that one thing. Doing presentations in classes will help my goal so that I won’t need it because I’m very shy so it’ll help my extrovtiness. This doesn’t relate to my other goal though.
