Quarter One

I chose my Header and Footer activity to reflect on. The activity was to learn the right way to make a header and footer for each page. This activity was done at the beginning of September. The footer had the page number and the header had our name, date, and grade. To complete it, we added specific information into the header and footer. We also learned how to cite properly by going to Citation Machine (http://www.citationmachine.net/) and putting in one fake book and website.

The purpose of this activity was to learn to put information into the header so that you wouldn’t have to go to every page and write your name, grade, and date on every page. We added the page number into the footer so that we would know if we lost a page or the pages are unorganized. Learning how to cite is important because then we could include sources for projects or assignments. It is also important if we get the citation wrong, then the piece of work would be considered plagiarism.

I didn’t really learn anything because I was here last year and learned this material already. But it was a little different then last year because we didn’t have to put that much information last year, but this year we did. I learned that we have to put the title of the work into the header instead of just writing it. This year, we had to write the same information but in a different format.

I could have changed it by adding more information and add more citations. There really really anything else I could change because I was here last year so I knew how to do the activity. But I probably would have to change a lot if I wasn’t here last year.

This activity doesn't relate to my goal which is to improve on my reading comprehension skills which I am not so strong in. This activity doesn't really have anything to do with reading comprehension. It doesn't have anything to do with my social goal either because my goal is to say at least one thing in each of my classes everyday.
