I am reflecting on my Middle East Passport project. This is our third passport project. We did it by choosing a country in the Middle East and then researching about hotels, and activities in that country. After we got all the information we needed to put it on a power point presentation. When all of the power points were done, we would put them all together and change them so it would be like ours. After that, we would make a presentation where we would have to be enthusiastic.
The purpose of the activity was for us to learn about traveling. It would help us in the future when we would have to travel a lot. It would also help us find good deals and find the best places to go. We would learn a lot about different countries and if we ever became a travel agent, we would have experience so we would do well.
I learned how to find good bargains and different places in the world. It was hard choosing the best place to go under a budget, but it really helped me keep under budgets even though the budgets were big. When we had to present in front of people, I learned how to talk in front of people and not be scared. It really helped me with being organized about vacations so when I am older, I will be able to plan a good vacation. Also, I learned that the posters weren’t very good because everyone liked the power points.
I could have added more items to my presentation and be more enthusiastic in my presentations. I would have chosen a different country then the United Arab Emirates. I would have used more pictures to make my presentation look better and find more research about the other countries in my power point. On the other projects, I should have put more work into it.
This would relate to my goal because I wanted to have grades above B+. It would help me make my grade higher because the projects would add up and I hope that I will get a grade over my goal of B+. The presentations would help me face my fears of talking in front of a big group of people, which is my other goal.
