The activity was to make a poster about three famous french people. They were Marie Curie, Louis Pasteur, and Jean D'Arc. We would watch a video on each person and we would research and take notes. Then we would write a summary and put it onto the poster with a picture.
The purpose of this activity was to learn about new people that we may have known about before. It was also for us to learn more about the history of France. Also, it was to improve our presentation skills because we had to present. Louis Pasteur and Marie Curie are both scientists and Jean is a messenger sent from god.
I learned more about Jean D'Arc because I heard her name before but I didn't know what she had done. I also learned about Louis Pasteur and Marie Curie. I also learned about the right way to present something like this because the teacher told us the right way.
I could have taken more notes so that my summary would be better and fuller. I should have also changed the design of my poster so that it could have looked better. I should have also researched more.
This ties in with my goal because this was part of my grade and one of my goals was to get grades above a B+ and if I get a good grade on it, I will probably get a grade over a B+. Also, since we had to present, it ties in with my second goal which was to say something each day and I did with this.
