The activity was basically about writing three essays and making a poster. The first essay was about Art and Architecture. You could make your essay about one topic or a couple topics but I made mine general. Your essay had to be at least three hundred words long and had to include two very important pieces. Your bibliography and your notes and it was the same for all three of the essays. I got one hundred out of one hundred on my first essay. The second essay was called Science and Technology and I got one hundred two out of one hundred. The last essay was Religion and Government and I got one hundred out of one hundred. At the end of the two essays, we needed a poster that had to include the three essays, two Internet printouts that are cited, a title, and a hand drawn map.
The purpose of the activity was to learn about ancient China or India if we chose India. Also, Mrs.Chamberlain was seeing if you knew how to make a proper bibliography and wrote your notes correctly. She also checked if we copy-pasted and if we could hand in our essays on time.
I completed this project by finding out information on Art and architecture. Then I organized my notes into paragraphs so that it would now be a rough draft. After some revision by my family, I rewrote it into my final draft and then I made the bibliography. I did the same with all my essays. After I was done with the essays, I found two Internet printouts and then made a map. I taped two posters together and then stuck everything on. Then I made a title for my poster which I handed in later that week.
I could have changed the pictures I chose for my two Internet printouts. I could have also gotten a better poster so that it would have supported my three essays better. And the way I put my essays on the poster could have been changed. I could have chosen one or a couple topics instead of being general or I could have added more information.
I learned more about the economy of ancient China because I used to think that China was peaceful. But later in my research, I found out about conflicts and other things that devastated China and its community. But I also learned more about note-taking and making good bibliographies.
